I can’t believe tomorrow kicks off a new month - March, really? This soon? Though February was short and sweet, I was ecstatic that I got to spend Valentine’s weekend with my love up in New York. Indulging in an epic dinner of seared sea scallops & banoffee pie from Standard Grill might take the cake on any meal I have ever experienced in the city. Enjoy my favorite snapshots below!
What you will need:
2 oz. pear liqueur
1 12 oz. bottle of ginger beer
2 lime wedges
ice
Fill a high ball glass with ice. Pour the pear liqueur over the ice. Squeeze a lime wedge over the ice. Top off with a good ginger beer (don’t use ginger ale – it is totally different and inferior). Serve with a wedge of lime. Makes one cocktail.

I don’t know what it is about living in the South, but it seems you can find monogrammed items everywhere. [Nashville has a store that is dedicated solely to monogramming!] I am starting to spark an interest in classier, yet bold styles of mongrammed home decor, and even some staple pieces for the closet. However, I am picky & the font type has to be perfect.
One of my favorite designers, Jonathan Adler, has an amazing “Design Your Own” option where you can create your own monogrammed pillows, rugs, totes, throws & more! The simpler, the chicer for me!

Valentine’s Day is in less than 24 hours and it seems like this year - compared to others - Cupid is making quite the grand entrance!
With the explosion of pinterest, and many other blogs I follow religiously, I am seeing the most amazing gift ideas for that someone special. How cute are these ombré truffles (recipe below)and those DIY candy bar wrappers?! Both are super easy to create, too!
Ingredients: Lindt white chocolate truffles & Royal icing or cookie icing packets
Separate each of your icing colors into dishes. If you’re mixing colors for the ombre effect, be sure to stir them really well. Microwave each color for 7 seconds and then drizzle your truffles with icing using a fork, simple as that!

With spring on the horizon, my mind has been running a mile a minute with lists of must-have pieces for the new season. To no surprise, pops of brights and pastels are making a big statement, alongside graphic palettes of black and white. I am melting over Loeffler Randall’s Spring ‘13 line and I would take absolutely every piece to add to my own wardrobe. Those florals, ahhh, and that lucite heel, yes please!
